On the teacher&#8217;s opposite on his left side the queue of the pupils starts with highest rank. This highest ranked leads the greeting.<\/p>\n<p>The greeting (Rei) shall be done in a respectful way with full concentration, this shall also be done during training at the begin or the end of an exercise, to greet with a bow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Dojo<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s time you might hear pupils say &#8222;I go training into the studio!&#8220;, that is a total different way of thinking compared to the meaning of Dojo.<\/p>\n<p>The Dojo (translated place of the way) is not simple a place to go to for some sportive exercise, it is a place where you focus your thoughts, powers and emotions to form not only your body but also your mind and character.<\/p>\n<p>So as a Budoka one should reconsider this difference for it is the &#8222;Do&#8220; the inner focus and state of mind, is what differs martial arts from just fighting sports.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan and Kyu grades.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moral worthship  (Shin &#8211; the mind or the heart in a spiritualmeaning), the treining of the body and technique (Gi), and the effectivity of the movement  (Tai &#8211; the body as an instrument of the mind) are the goal of the teachings in  KoKoDo Ju Jutsu.<br \/>\nThe different grades in Ju Jutsu form a unit to describe the advancing in the art.<br \/>\nEverey black belt should be aware not only to wear his Dan but to also be a living example of the moral values inside the art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The nine values of a Ju Jutsuka<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Honor (Meiyo)<\/p>\n<p>2. Faithfulness  (Chujitsu)<\/p>\n<p>3. Honesty, or openness (Seijitsu oder Makoto)<\/p>\n<p>4. Courage (Yuuki oder Yuukan)<\/p>\n<p>5. Kindness (Shinsetsu)<\/p>\n<p>6. Meekness (Ken)<\/p>\n<p>7. Straight forwardness (Tadashi oder Sei)<\/p>\n<p>8. Respect (Sonchoo)<\/p>\n<p>9. Self control (Seigyo)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic vocabulary in Ju Jutsu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mokuso: concentration, meditation<br \/>\nMokuso Yame: end of Meditation<br \/>\nOtagai ni Rei: Greetings of the pupils<br \/>\nRitsu Rei: greeting in standing position<br \/>\nSensei ni Rei: greeting of the teacher<br \/>\nSempei ni Rei: greeting of the high ranking pupil<br \/>\nShomen ni Rei: greeting of the Kamiza<br \/>\nZarei: rise from seiza<br \/>\nTate: get up<br \/>\nManate: change of direction<br \/>\nZanshin: watchfulness<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anmerkung<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This article should be for the basic understanding of some rules in the Ju Jutsu, to teach to beginners and to remind advanced.<\/p>\n<p>~ R.
